PUMA FTW&ACC CMF DESIGN EXPLORATION

COLOUR EXPLORATION: FOR ALL TIME RED

This CMF study reinterprets Puma’s legacy color “For All Time Red” through three contemporary design lenses. Focusing on the emotional power of red in sport and culture, this project explores a curated spectrum of red tones, materials, and finishes. From smooth leather and high-shine TPU to soft textile uppers and sprayed gradients. Each material was chosen for how it absorbs and reflects red light across textures.

The result is a scalable and performance informed palette with storytelling that blends street culture, luxury, and future-forward aesthetics perfect for a lifestyle and performance crossover.

Key Materials: High-shine TPU, matte PU, brushed textiles
Finishes: Debossed overlays, sprayed gradient, dual-layer textiles
My Role: Full CMF direction, palette development, material/finish curation, digital mockups

COLOUR EXPLORATION: RUBY SHIMMER

Ruby Shimmer is another bold CMF exploration designed to redefine femininity through power, contrast and luxe utility. At the center is a shimmering, metallic silver anchored by reflective finishes that speak to performance heritage and futuristic sophistication.

This direction explores the duality of strength and softness in modern womenswear, translating fashion codes into footwear via bold colour blocking, tactile materiality, and layered surfaces. The theme draws from women's football aesthetics, luxury streetwear, and performance couture merging sport utility with elevated expression.

Key Materials: Soft grain metallic leather, semi matte leathers, nylon laces
Finishes: Foam outsole
My Role: Full CMF direction, palette development, material/finish curation, digital mockups

COLOUR EXPLORATION: ORANGE GLOW

Orange Glow is a bold and expressive colour direction designed for youthful energy and collective effervescence. Inspired by car culture, pop culture and streetwear confidence this palette leans into saturated oranges, mints, and white greys with high contrast applications.

Perfect for summer pack launches or hype-driven collabs, the materials mix gloss and matte, sporty and playful. The approach encourages bold blocking, classic logos and playful layering to drive high visibility for the consumer.

Key Materials: Matte PU, molded rubber, mesh synthetics
Finishes: Perforation, soft-touch coatings, heat map gradient fades
My Role: Storyboarding, trend research, palette and mockup design

COLOUR EXPLORATION: GOLD MOON

Gold Moon is a tonal CMF direction developed for sportstyle footwear and accessories, designed to reflect themes of soft strength, quiet confidence and future resilience. The project repositions yellow as a muted, elevated seasonal highlight balancing warmth and neutrality in a feminine, modern palette.

The concept draws from the soft luminosity of moonlight, grounded in satellite imagery, shifting earth tones and liquid mineral surfaces. The story is future-focused, yet deeply human. Designed for a consumer looking for understated energy and optimism within a post-digital, terrain-inspired aesthetic.

Key Materials: Smooth synthetic knits, large hole meshes and nets, jacquard polyesters
My Role: Storyboarding, trend research, palette and mockup design

COLOUR EXPLORATION: HONEY BUTTER

Honey Butter fuses earthy naturalism with futuristic biomaterial aesthetics, addressing consumer interest in sustainability and material innovation. Inspired by natural suedes, leather and mineral textures this colour story blends moss greens, clay tones, and compound material mixing.

Material direction focuses on texture - fuzzy, fibrous, or subtly irregular and uses CMF as a tool for storytelling. Ideal for outdoor stories or collaborations centered on innovation and nature-tech synergy.

Key Materials: Recycled knits, felted synthetics, suede and leather blends
Finishes: Waterproof coatings, matte micrograin coatings, raw edge detailing
My Role: Concept ideation, material trend translation, CMF storytelling for eco design

COLOUR EXPLORATION: GREEN TERRAIN

Green Terrain is a CMF exploration rooted in material depth, reinterpretation and the rise of formalisation in sneakers. It celebrates the tactile codes of traditional footwear leathers, suedes and croc embossing combined with subtle collegiate cues and reimagines them in contemporary sneaker silhouettes for today’s lifestyle consumer.

The story draws on heritage sport uniforms, classic driving shoes, varsity jackets and 70’s athletic prep. These references are remixed through a modern, urban lens using deep pine greens, vintage browns and high-end natural materials. Creating a timeless palette that feels both familiar and fresh.

Key Materials: Natural Grain Leather & Soft nubucks, croc embossed panels
My Role: Concept ideation, curated material selections and vintage-to-modern crossover references
